Overview

Aaru's Awakening is a sidescrolling, hand-drawn 2D action platformer and Lumenox Games' debut effort. After being delayed from Summer 2014, the game was released on February 24, 2015 for the PC, Mac, and PSN. The developers have stated that in the future they wish to expand the release to more consoles.

Gameplay

You will play as Dawn's Champion, Aaru, as he travels through the realms of Dusk, Day, Night, and Dawn to settle a conflict. The game boasts a unique hand-drawn art style and focuses on difficult masocore style platforming. The game's central mechanic revolves around the player's ability to teleport throughout the level in addition to genre-standard movement such as running, jumping, and an air dash.
